Germán Araneda Vázquez studied Biology at the Metropolitan Autonomous University campus Xochimilco, and holds a specialization in aquaculture supported by the PNUD/FAO/SUDEPE in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mr. Araneda is also a postgraduate student in Ecology at the Biotic Resources Research Institute (INIREB) and the Ensenada’s Superior Studies and Research Center (CICESE). Mr. Araneda has a wide experience in the diagnostic and management of natural resources as well as in the formulation, execution and follow-up activities for a wide range of research programs. Mr. Araneda is the former Director of INDOART, Sustainable Development, a consulting enterprise from the Latin American Economic System (SELA) focused on rural communities environmental issues. Mr. Araneda has been involved in environmental restoration programs for affected areas as well as ecotourism projects at the southeast and the central part of the country in which he has coordinated non governmental organizations, social groups, and research and academic institutions. In addition Mr. Araneda has provided assessment for government agencies and private companies for sustainable development issues.
